Which computers can I use remotely?

We support five remote access hosts. You can log into any host remotely using the ssh protocol. The names of our remote access hosts are:

shell01.acs.newpaltz.edu
shell02.acs.newpaltz.edu
shell03.acs.newpaltz.edu
shell04.acs.newpaltz.edu
shell05.acs.newpaltz.edu

The Computer Science and Engineering departments have servers which can also be used for remote logins. If you wish to run a graphical application (using Xming), please log into one of the remote access hosts listed above.

The names of the departmental servers are:

wyvern.cs.newpaltz.edu
gauss.engr.newpaltz.edu
