Is Your Computer Protected?

Did you know that SUNY New Paltz offers FREE antivirus software that you can download from our website?  If you don’t currently have an antivirus software program installed on your computer, you are putting your files and personal information at risk.  Symantec antivirus is available for use on a personal computer for all students, faculty, and staff members who have a current NPCUID and password (faculty and staff should not use this version of Symantec on any campus-owned computers; for more information about antivirus software and campus-owned computers, please contact the Faculty/Staff Help Desk at 845-257-3449).

Students, now is a great time to make sure your computer is protected before leaving campus for the summer.  The Academic Computing Help Desk is available to assist you if you need help downloading or updating the program or making sure you know how to perform a live update to ensure that your protection is up-to-the-minute.  You can call the Help Desk at 845-257-3597 or walk in to Humanities 103 any time during regular business hours.  Additionally, you can submit a support ticket any time atsupport.newpaltz.edu and a staff member will address your issue during the next business day.
