Welcome to the Academic Computing department website.  Academic Computing is a branch of SUNY New Paltz Computer Services and is responsible for implementing and maintaining many of the technological systems and services on campus, including – but not limited to – the Academic Computer Help desk, wireless services, many of the academic computer labs and kiosks, desktop printing services, the residential network (ResNet), and the support and training of faculty who are using technology in their classrooms.

On this site you will find information about all of the above mentioned services, as well as campus policies pertaining to the general use of the SUNY New Paltz network and resources; additionally, important information about the campus DMCA policy can be found on our site and this is especially critical for students making use of the residential network (ResNet).

Finally, our site also contains valuable information for new students; purchasing recommendations for students wishing to bring their own computer to school; and a one stop reference for staff contact information and departmental hours (including lab hours).
